The latest IBM CEO study released today presents a well-rounded look
at how CEOs are steering their businesses in today's global market, and
the information should be studied closely by those in the mid-market
where a majority of today's business innovations are happening. While
the study focuses on a wide variety of avenues that CEOs are using to
grow their business, the focus on both business analytics and social
media should make IT managers and professionals take notice.
The 2012 IBM Global CEO Study
The IBM Global CEO Study, or Leading Through Connections, is available from the IBM
website. It is the company's fifth biennial study into how CEOs are
managing their business. The information in this study is the result of
face-to-face conversations with almost 2,000 CEOs across dozens of
countries and numerous industries.
The study found three key areas
that CEOs are focused on: amplifying innovation with partnerships,
engaging customers as individuals, and empowering employees through
values. However, what's more pertinent is the way that these CEOs plan
to focus on these three areas, and specifically, how they will work to
leverage certain types of technology to do so.
